Bears and Giraffes Club
At Brooklands, we believe that service to our school and our community is very important. Our Fourth Grade Bears help with service to our building. The Fifth Grade Giraffes take on projects that assist in the community.
The Bears’ projects include: cleaning up the building for conferences, assisting teachers in their classrooms, and managing the lost and found. The Giraffe Club Members host New Student Orientation and help with various PTA sponsored activities. All members also participate in donating bears, cards, and blankets to local community organizations. The Brooklands’ Bears and Giraffe Clubs are open to all students who show responsibility, good citizenship, leadership, and a commitment to helping their school and community.
These service clubs give all students at Brooklands the chance to learn civic and community responsibility, and to have the satisfaction of knowing they have made a difference to their school and in their community.
